I named this first collection Nandri, which means “thank you” or “gratitude” in Tamil, one of the world’s oldest living languages, spoken in both India and Sri Lanka. Gratitude is the feeling that carried me through the creation of this collection. From the moment we arrived in India, to the quiet early mornings working alongside artisans, to the joy of seeing each design come to life. This collection is a tribute to the spirit, generosity, and creativity of the people who welcomed me, taught me, and collaborated with me.
Naming it Nandri felt right because it’s more than a thank you, it’s a bow to the culture, the language, and the land that made it possible.
